Electrical Inspection & Testing Certificates EICR
By law, landlords need to ensure their property is safe and provide electrical certificates for their electrical system and all appliances. To make sure you are compliant with current legislation and that your property is safe for your tenants two tests will need to be carried out.
An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) will need to be carried out every five years.
Failure to obtain EICR and PAT certificates can invalidate your landlord’s insurance and can even lead to prosecution.
